Welcome
to The Back Door! We are a full service quilt shop with thousands of bolts
of fabric, including Moda, Benartex, RJR, Marcus, P & B, Red Rooster,
and more. We carry hundreds of books and patterns in our retail shop (click
here to print map), and we are known for our wonderful quilt and doll
samples. We have hand-guided long arm quilting machines and offer custom
quilting services. We've been in business for 36 years, and have been
growing to serve your needs.

PRAIRIE WOMEN'S SEWING CIRCLE
6 months $30+ starting in September

You are invited to join a unique, monthly club that will take
you on a journey back in time. Gather together as the Prairie
Women did, and hear anecdotal stories about their quiltmaking,
and what daily life was like for those who traveled by wagon
train on the Oregon Trail, to the lives of quilters during the
Civil War, and the years of women's suffrage for equal rights.
Not only will you learn how our quilting ancestors created
quilts by "Making Do" with what they had, you will
be invited to do so yourself!!!
Monthly patterns and other
surprises will be offered exclusively to PWSC club members

We are now a Gammill
Dealer in partnership with Accomplish Quilting in Stevensville, MI,
selling Gammill quilting machines. If you are interested in learning to
use the Gammills, we offer a Power Quilting 101 class that is a
prerequisite for renting time, and also a good introduction if you are
interested in purchasing a Gammill. (include link to class schedule) Call
to make an appointment to try out and/or purchase one of our machines.
